Index to Current Urban Documents (ICUD)

contains over 31,000 reports generated by local government agencies, civic organizations, academic and research organizations, public libraries, and metropolitan and regional planning agencies from more than 500 major cities in the United States and Canada. The core of the collection are fiscal (budgets and financial reports) and architecture & planning documents (city, county and regional plans). The Index also provides information for all urban-related issues, from hazardous waste disposal to arts in the community

ICUD is undergoing the biggest renovation in it's history.

ILM Corporation recently purchased the ICUD product and working on several initiatives:

  • Greatly Expanding Relevant Content
  • Revising the Index/Thesaurus Directory
  • Improving the Look, Feel and Navigation of the Site
  • Implementing a Text Searchable PDF System
  • We have expanded our requirements to include more cities, counties and municipalities

We need input from our stakeholders (Librarians, City Planners, Students, Researchers, etc.) to ensure that we are providing a product that will best serve you. Please contact Jason Cohen at 540-898-1406 ext.190, email: icud@ilmcorp.com.

The ICUD is the only regularly published guide to the reports and research that are generated by local government agencies, civic organizations, academic and research organizations, public libraries, and metropolitan and regional planning agencies in approximately 500 selected cities in the United States and Canada. A yearly subscription to ICUD includes a fully searchable online index with full text documents available as PDF files.

Document suppliers can upload documents here.

About our parent company:

ILM Corporation

In 1976 when only large companies and government agencies could use room-sized mainframe computers, ILM opened its doors. Our goal then as it is now is to help both public and private sector companies convert hardcopy materials and then manage those large volumes of electronic data with an online document management system. We can help you convert paper records into customized digital data that are ready-to-use or to integrate into your existing systems and applications.
